A federal bankruptcy judge approved a three-week budget to ensure the health care and safety of patients at Haven Eldercare, according to Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. The budget was created to allow the nursing homes to operate until a trustee is selected to take over the operations. The trustee will be charged with the responsibility of monitoring patient care and preventing illegal misuse and diversion of funds.
