With increasing focus being paid to making newly constructed buildings more energy efficient and environmentally friendly, Milford-based Consigli Construction has named Edward White as the director of operations for Arch Energy, the firm’s clean energy division.
White has nearly three decades of experience working in the energy industry, according to a press release issued by Consigli on Thursday. He most recently served as the executive director and vice president of social impact for the National Grid Foundation, a New York-based organization focused on educational and environmental initiatives with $32.9 million worth of assets in 2022, according to tax filings.
In addition to his new role at Consigli, White serves as the chair of the board of directors for the United Way of Central Massachusetts and as a member of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts’ board of directors.
“Ed’s expansive experience in the clean energy sector provides our energy division with an opportunity to bolster the group’s leadership and further grow our operations,” Todd McCabe, vice president of project services at Consigli, said in the press release. “As we continue to prioritize energy efficient systems and work toward a more sustainable future in the construction industry, Ed’s knowledge and expertise will be an asset to both our team and our clients as they strive to meet their decarbonization goals.”
Consigli launched Arch Energy in September 2020 with the intent of bolstering the firm’s ability to help clients meet decarbonization and electrification goals. White’s position is a new role within the division.
“As director of operations, I look forward to working alongside Director of Energy Kailash Viswanathan to help provide decarbonization solutions that will build on Consigli and the Arch Energy division’s commitment to creating a more sustainable and resilient future,” White said in the press release.
