Cloud Co. Expands In Texas
VCE, a joint cloud computing venture between Cisco Systems and Hopkinton-based EMC, is expanding in Texas with the help of a $2.45-million grant from the state.
The company, which is now based in Dallas and has operations in Franklin, Mass., and in Silicon Valley, says it will move its headquarters to the new location, and will create 434 jobs and generate $35 million in capital investment there.
The new headquarters will lease at least 87,000 square feet in Richardson, Texas, taking occupancy this spring.
EMC and Cisco both have operations in Richardson.
