Harold M. Wingood, the dean of admissions and financial aid at Clark University in Worcester, will leave the college to become executive director of the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering on July 1.
Wingood has been with Clark since 1995. He helped create the University Park Campus School, a grade seven through 12 school in Clark’s Main South neighborhood that runs as a collaboration between the university and the city’s public school system. He has also worked for changes to the college admissions process, including reducing the emphasis on college rankings.
The Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering is a Tennessee charter school serving 700 students in grades six through 12.
