The cannabis entrepreneur duo who announced plans in the fall to expand their cannabis microbusiness into a former chocolate store in Hopedale has sold the property where they were planning to do business.
Under the name TPKM LLC, Tim Phillips and Kevin MacConnell bought the property at 1 Rosenfeld Dr. in August 2021. Phillips and MacConnell own an Uxbridge cannabis microbusiness called Yamna, also known as Blackstone Valley Naturals. In November, MacConnell told the Hopedale select board the Rosenfeld Drive property offered a 1,000-square-foot expansion from Yamna’s Uxbridge location, as well as an acre of undeveloped land potentially for further growth.
Before MacConnell and Phillips bought it, the property was the home of Green Mountain Chocolate Co., a 20-year-old chocolate shop which closed in June.
On Friday, TPKM LLC sold the property to Cannapreneur Partners LLC, a Westborough-based venture capital firm which offers business development services to cannabis entrepreneurs and investors. The sale of the Hopedale site would have been for the property and not necessarily included a sale of any business.
Neither Cannapreneur Partners nor Yamna could be reached for immediate comment on the sale.
The 16,735-square-foot property sold for $1.7 million, the same price as what MacConnell and Phillips paid back in August. It is assessed by the Town of Hopedale at $1.85 million.
