Wayland-based laser maker Candela Corp. said it made a $7.1 million profit on $31.4 million in revenue in its fourth quarter.
In the same period a year ago, the company reported a $2.7 million loss and revenue of $37.4 million. Over the same period, the company’s loss from operations fell from $5.2 million to $492,000.
For the full fiscal year, the company posted a $10.6 million loss on revenue of $116.6 million.
The company said its strong distribution channels and product lineup position it well for an eventual economic upswing.
Candela makes lasers used in cosmetic and other medical procedures.
