Caliper grabs DelliSanti

Hopkinton-based Caliper Life Sciences Inc., a company that does drug discovery and research work for the pharmaceutical industry, has a new sales and marketing chief.
Caliper said it named John DelliSanti executive vice president and chief commercial officer. Before joining Caliper, DelliSanti led the Americas commercial operations at Invitrogen Corp. Before that, he worked at Accelrys, a chemistry software company.
Caliper, which recently acquired NovaScreen Biosciences and Xenogen Corp., said the company is counting on DelliSanti to deliver "strong growth and margin improvement."
