U.S. Sen. Scott Brown will host a jobs fair Monday at Worcester State University to connect job seekers with dozens of Massachusetts employers who have committed to attend the networking and recruitment event, the senator's office announced.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the university's student center.
This will be the second jobs fair Brown has sponsored. His initial event, held in October at Roxbury Community College in Boston, drew more than 2,000 job seekers and 60 Bay State employers, his office said.
"I have seen that our commonwealth has tremendous potential for job creation and that, by working together, we can take steps to drive down our state's 7 percent unemployment rate and put people back to work," Brown said.
Among Central Massachusetts companies at the upcoming jobs fair: Classic Envelope of Douglas, Creedon and Co. of Worcester, E.L. Harvey and Co. of Westborough, Fallon Community Health Plan and Reliant Medical Group, both of Worcester, and Monster.com of Maynard.
