Brew City Grill & Brew House on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester will reopen one week from Friday, on March 19, following a temporary closure which began in January, spurred by difficulties in running the restaurant under heightened coronavirus restrictions.
“Thank you for all of your DMs, emails, and calls! We have been floored with the community feedback. As of now, we are pleased to announce that we are back, March 19th @ 4pm!” the company wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. “See you then!”
Brew City management announced its temporary closure on Jan. 19. At the time, restaurants were limited to 25% of their indoor seating, not including staff.
“A very special THANK YOU to everyone, for your continued support through these challenging times. Once again, this is just a **TEMPORARY** hibernation, and we look forward to seeing all of you when we re-open,” the company wrote at the time.
Restaurant capacity limits put in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus were officially lifted on March 1.
Another Shrewsbury Street restaurant, Meze Estiatorio, also closed in January because of increased coronavirus restrictions. Meze Estiatorio said on its social media pages it would reopen in March, as well, but an official date has not yet been announced.
