Boston Capital Development LLC, the firm constructing a six-phase development at the former Table Talk Pies headquarters, closed on the purchase of the development site on Wednesday for $4.55 million, according to a press release from NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs, the Worcester company brokering the sale.
The nearly four-acre property, which includes a 156,640-square-foot building at 153 Green St., is slated to be redeveloped into six mixed-use buildings totaling 400 units of housing. Boston Capital received approval this summer to begin phase one of the project: an 83-unit affordable housing complex dubbed Table Talk Lofts.
The property was sold by Pieco Realty Inc, which is registered to Harry Kokkinis, general manager of Table Talk Pies.
Table Talk announced plans to move its headquarters from the Canal District to Worcester’s Main South neighborhood in early 2020, and completed the $22-million project in fall of 2021.
The Table Talk redevelopment is one of three large projects surrounding the Polar Park baseball stadium meant to help pay off the park’s costs through tax revenue.
