Harrington Farm, a popular wedding venue in Princeton, has been sold by its owner of almost three decades for $6.4 million, according to the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds.
The farm was bought by Patrick Gillan, according to the deed, who is a principal at New York-based Conscious Bay Capital Partners. Gillan operates several other event venues in New York and Connecticut, and owns Grand View wedding venue in Mendon, which he bought in 2019 for $4.1 million.
Harrington Farm has been owned by the Bomba family since 1994 when John Bomba bought it for $20,000, per the Princeton assessors’ database.
In an official statement, Gillan said John Bomba will be staying on to advise the new team overseeing the farm.
"We will work closely with John and the rest of the Harrington Farm team to best ensure that his decades-long commitment to providing great service is honored and continued," Gillan said in the statement.
Located at 178 Westminster Road in Princeton, the farm spans 60 acres, according to its website. The sale which closed Dec. 22 included 14 acres, per the deed.
Last year, Harrington Farm received one of the largest grants from the Restaurant Revitalization Fund in Central Massachusetts. The federally funded, pandemic-support fund awarded nearly $2 million to the venue.
