Anna Maria College in Paxton has named Alex Mowatt as vice president for finance and chief financial officer and Michael Miers as its new vice president for administration and chief information officer.
Both of the new executives already held positions within the college.
Mowatt has served as a budget manager and director of finance at Anna Maria College for the last four and a half years. In his new position as vice president for finance and CFO, Mowatt oversees the business office, accounting, finance, payroll, and other financial responsibilities. Prior to joining Anna Maria College, Mowatt held positions in corporate accounting and finance at software and services organizations.
Miers has worked at Anna Maria College for more than 17 years, most recently as CIO and data security coordinator, where he managed the information-technology department. In his new role as vice president for administration and CIO he will be responsible for dining services, facilities, bookstore, human resources, information technology and events.
