AIM Health Cost Forums

The Associated Industries of Massachusetts is holding a series of breakfast forums, including one in Worcester on June 21, to promote its Employers' Campaign For Affordable Health.

AIM calls the push, which will include lobbying, grassroots organizing and events like the forums, its largest issue campaign in two decades. It said the effort to control health costs will mirror a 1991 push to change the state's workers' compensation system, which resulted in a 60-percent reduction in workers' comp rates.

AIM plans seven forums, where business, regulatory and insurance executives will discuss strategies to save money on health insurance.

The forums will run from 8:30 to 11 a.m. The June 21 event in Worcester will be held at the DCU Center.
