After three years of renovations, Worcester restaurant will open new location

Pepe's Italian Restaurant's new location at 179 Shrewsbury St. in Worcester

Pepe’s Italian Restaurant in Worcester will open its doors at its new Shrewsbury Street location on Thursday, almost two years after beginning renovations on the new building.
The restaurant closed its old location at 274 Franklin St. in early October after more than 10 years in that spot, according to a Facebook post.
Pepe’s Owner Teresa Travaglio bought a 0.1-acre parcel at 181 Shrewsbury St. in May 2018 for $353,000, per the Worcester South District Registry of Deeds. Announced in summer 2020, the Shrewsbury Street opening was originally slated for last winter.
The new location at 179 Shrewsbury St. will open at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
