AdCare Hospital in Worcester promoted an executive and a director to its inpatient services program.
The new appointments are Andrea Dayotas, who will serve as executive director of inpatient services, and Heidi Souza, who takes on the role of clinical director of inpatient services, according to the announcement Tuesday from AdCare.
Prior to her new role, Dayotas served as program manager and treatment director at AdCare and has a background in behavioral health. The new role will give her oversight of the hospital’s admissions, counseling, case management, care coordination, and placement services. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in counseling from Rhode Island College.
For Souza, she previously worked as AdCare’s clinical supervisor and has eight years of experience working in the addiction field. In her new role, Souza will provide administrative oversight of counselors, as well as administrative and clinical oversight of clinical supervisors. She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southern New Hampshire University.
“The advancement of these two dedicated and professional employees will strengthen the care we provide our patients from admissions through discharge,” said Romas Buivydas, CEO of AdCare Hospital, in a press release.
AdCare is a substance-use disorder hospital based in Worcester and was acquired by Tennessee-based American Addiction Centers in 2018.
