MIG Corp., an Acton construction firm, has paid nearly $3 million for a Sutton warehouse and an adjacent roughly 18 acres of land for expansion.
MIG plans to occupy the 32,000-square-foot warehouse and start construction in June on another 40,000-square-foot building, according to R.W. Holmes Realty Co. of Wayland, which brokered the deals. The transactions closed March 26.
The company's expansion into Acton comes just after the firm sold for $5 million a Westborough site where it had operations. That deal, which included 9 Otis St., closed in late February.
MIG paid just under $2 million to buy the warehouse site at 12 John Road. The nearly two-acre site last sold in 2016 for $1.3 million and was last assessed by the Town of Sutton at just over $1.3 million. The seller was a limited liability corporation registered to Ronald Bourgoin of Sutton and Timothy Mullen of Boston.
The adjacent vacant, wooded site at 16R Worcester Providence Turnpike was bought for $955,250. The site was last owned by a limited liability corporation registered to Clealand Blair of Rutland, Robert Gallo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Edward Foss of Shrewsbury.
