An Acton construction firm has sold an industrial site in Westborough spanning 27 acres and including a 36,000-square-foot warehouse, for $5 million to a Wyoming firm.
The site at 9 Otis St. includes an operations facility for the construction company MIG Corp., a DHL delivery site, the gym Exceed Sports Performance & Fitness. Much of the site remains undeveloped, its location is within walking distance of the Westborough commuter rail station and a short drive from Route 9 and the center of town. An advertisement for the site's sale availability listed its potential expansion by 40,000 to 45,000 square feet.
The seller was a firm registered to Donald and Robert Voghel of Acton, the brothers who co-founded MIG Corp. The buyer is Exeter Asset Services Corp., a financial firm based in Wyoming. A 10% share of the site also went to a firm registered to John David Skinner of Lexington. The deal closed Feb. 22.
The site last sold in 2011 for just under $2 million. It was last assessed by the Town of Westborough at nearly $2.4 million.
