Accolades & Honors

Reliant Medical Group of Worcester was named one of the “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” by Becker's Healthcare, an industry information source. Reliant is the only provider in Central Massachusetts that earned the recognition this year.

Unum, an insurance group with offices in Worcester, received the 2014 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles Award from the National Business Group on Health's Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being. Unum was given a gold award for its programs that promote employee wellness. Sixty-three U.S. firms were honored.

Egenera of Boxborough, a cloud management and data center infrastructure automation company, was named a 2014 Cloud Computing Excellence Award winner by TMC, a global integrated media firm. The honor was for the company's Cloud Suite cloud management software platform.

Pamela Berman of Worcester-based law firm Bowditch & Deweyreceived the 2014 Lelia J. Robinson Award from the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts. Berman, a litigation partner, is the second partner with the firm to earn the award.

Becker College of Worcester was named a charter member of the newly formed Higher Education Video Game Alliance. There are 19 charter members.

Mark's Moving & Storage of Westborough was named Family Business of the Year by the Northeastern University Center for Family Business in Boston. The presentation took place at the Massachusetts Family Business of the Year Awards.

Tom Ruble of Tom Ruble Real Estate Services of Ashburnham was named 2014 Realtor of the Year by the North Central Massachusetts Association of Realtors.

Jason R. Tubo, a dentist based in Whitinsville, received the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award. To earn the honor, he completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a written exam, and had three years of continuous academy membership.

HealthAlliance Hospital of Leominster was named to the list of the Most Wired hospitals in the U.S. for the seventh time. Hospitals & Health Networks sponsors the annual Most Wired Survey, which honors health-care facilities that have established robust information systems.

Grimes & Co., a Westborough investment advisory firm, made the inaugural list of the Top 300 Registered Investment Advisors published by the Financial Times.

The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester earned a Council for Advancement and Support of Education 2014 Circle of Excellence Award for editorial design for a fall 2013 Holy Cross Magazine spread. It received a bronze award.

Wood's Ambulance of Gardner was given a citation by the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelidis for six decades of exceptional service. The family-run business provides medical transport services. It has 75 employees.
