Westborough liquor store Julio's Liquors was awarded the 2015 “Whisky Retailer of the Year” in the single outlet category by Whisky Magazine. The store won the same award in 2013, and a considerable mention in 2014, part of the Icons of Whisky America.
Whitinsville-based graphic design firm Access TCA was named a winner in the American Health & Wellness Design Awards competition for its mural at Worcester's Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital main lobby.
Clinton Savings Bank earned two gold awards at the New England Financial Marketing Awards gala last month for banks with less than $500 million in assets. One award was in the deposit category for its Valentine's Day CD special. The other was for a school scholarship art contest the bank ran for students in six schools last year.
Five Davis Advertising campaigns earned New England Financial Marketing Awards: a gold, a silver and three bronze medals. The gold medal was for a TV ad the firm produced for SpencerBANK. The silver resulted from a TV spot for SIS Bank of Sanford, Maine. Winning bronze were campaigns for Webster First Federal Credit Union, Leominster Credit Union and Charles River Bank, based in Medway. Davis is based in Worcester.
HVAC Experts of Worcester is a 2014 COOL SMART award recipient. The company is owned by Justin Derosiers of Worcester. COOL SMART is a high-efficiency central air conditioning and heat pump program for residential customers of National Grid, NSTAR, Unitil and others, promoting Energy-Star qualified systems. The program is implemented by Conservation Services Group of Westborough.
Natick Visiting Nurse Association was awarded accreditation under the Community Health Accreditation Program, or CHAP. The Natick VNA is one of just two in the state to gain the status, which it's maintained since 2001. The accreditation also certifies the agency as a Medicare provider.
Tom Ingrassia, president of the Holden-based MotivAct Group, was chosen as this year's writer-in-residence by the State University of New York at Geneseo. The MotivAct Group provides personal and professional development training programs and individual coaching.
