In the last 11 years, Gardner has ascended the ladder at Davis, first as manufacturing recruiter, then senior recruiter and recruiting supervisor, creating an employee training plan. By 2015, she became the learning and development manager, responsible for onboarding, ongoing training and career development of Davis staff. Last year, she was promoted to HR manager, handling safety, employee relations, compensation and legal affairs.
She volunteers with Ronald McDonald House, United Way of Central Mass. and ASPCA. Gardner has visited 14 countries and 30 states and lives with husband, Rich, son, Colt, and puggle dog, Sampson.
What do you daydream about? Travels, both past trips and future plans
Your best advice? My manager Jill Cosgrove Danksewicz said, “Develop your team.” I remind myself of what Jill said all the time.
Favorite Central Mass. fact? The yellow smiley face was invented in Worcester. The original emoji!
