One of five children in a family who emigrated from Portugal and a first-generation college student, John Peter Pacheco Jr. has leveraged his quick success in the banking sector to better his company, the industry, and his community.
Pacheco spent 11 years at TD Bank, where he won awards like Small Business Champion, TD Emerging Leader, and Top Spot for Production in 2016. In 2018, he joined the $1.1-billion Fidelity Bank, assuming leadership of the main banking center at its headquarters. He has contributed growth across business lines, with achievements in 2021 like $5 million in home equity production and $11 million deposit growth at the center. Pacheco serves on the bank’s Inclusion & Diversity Council, ensuring differences are celebrated and inclusion and equality are promoted. Outside of Fidelity, he is director and secretary for the New England Pride Colorguard Ensemble, which held clinics in July to spread awareness and support LGBTQI+ topics and representation. Through his involvement with the Montachusett Area Rotary Club, Pacheco has worked to help with food inconsistencies, including helping the Spanish American Center in Leominster obtain a grant to supply its kitchen for those vulnerable in the community.
