$2.5M MassDevelopment Loan For Quiet Logistics
Quiet Logistics, an Andover company that helps companies fill e-commerce orders using robotic technology, is using $2.5 million in MassDevelopment term financing to expand in Devens.
MassDevelopment said the money will come from its Emerging Technology Fund and will pay for equipment and working capital to expand its distribution center. The company started leasing the 200,000-square-foot space in May and expects to create up to 300 jobs there, according to MassDevelopment.
Quiet Logistics, legally known as Scenic Technology Corp., was founded in Ashland in 2005 and later moved to Andover.
The company offers outsourced handling of retailers' fulfillment processes and promises high levels of accuracy.
