Birthplace: Boston
Residence: Ashburnham
High school: Ayer High School
Colleges and degrees earned: B.A. in economics, University of Massachusetts Boston
Career highlights: I always knew that as long as I did what was in my clients' best interest, everything else would fall into place. This philosophy has fostered sustainable growth.
Community involvement: I've been on the board of LUK since 2007, chairman since 2010, and led two national CEO searches. I also chair the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce board and sit on the Monty Tech foundation board and the Health Alliance Guild board. I've also worked with other local nonprofits, both on boards and through fundraising.
Ultimate career goal: Build a regional financial services and employee benefits company that offers world-class service.
Non-relative you admire most: I really can't pinpoint one person. I'm very fortunate to be surrounded by people who possess a drive to succeed and give back.
Favorite book: “Good to Great,” by Jim Collins
Hidden talents: Property restoration has become a passion. Although the projects don't always go as planned, and often take much longer than I had thought, it's a nice change of pace from crunching numbers and solving problems all week.
“If I were to win $1 million in the lottery, I would … figure out a way to make it $10 million.”
