ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT/MORTGAGE CONSULTANT, Southbridge Savings Bank
Company location: Southbridge
Residence: Southbridge
Favorite movie: "Goodfellas"
Career highlights: Completing the New England School of Financial Studies at Babson College and becoming an assistant vice president at Southbridge Savings Bank.
Community involvement: I serve on the executive board of directors as the second vice chair on the Central Massachusetts South Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the membership committee and golf committee. I previously served as treasurer for the chamber for four years. I volunteer at community events such as the Sturbridge Harvest Fest, RRI road race, Southbridge Fest (emcee for the last three years) Relay for Life, Charlton Old Home Day and fundraisers for The Montessori School. I served a five-year term on the Southbridge Redevelopment Authority and was chairman for the last year. I served on the board of directors and as treasurer for the Literacy Volunteers of South Central Massachusetts for six years.
Biggest success: My biggest success is my career advancement at the bank. I started as a part-time teller 16 years ago and was promoted through several different positions and departments.
Biggest challenge: Balancing my time between being a father, working and being an active volunteer in the community. There is not enough time in the day for everything.
Mentors: My parents. I have learned so much from the example they have set for me. They are the most selfless, hard-working people I have ever seen. I can only hope that I am being as good a parent to my son as they have been to me. My other best mentor has been my 5-year-old son, Jackson. Whenever life gets too serious, he is always there to remind me at the end of the day, “Did we have fun today?”
Hidden talent: None. All my talents are unhidden.
