Career highlights
I am a senior consultant and the chief operating officer for MSB Consulting LLC based out of Worcester. Our company does business and technology consulting for medium-sized businesses and municipalities in the New England area. Our company was founded in July 2007 by myself and two partners. Prior to that, I was an NCO in the Army Reserves and served a tour of duty in Iraq. I have more than eight years experience in the IT industry and have worked with and for companies based in the New England and Washington, D.C., regions
Community involvement:
I am involved in a number of veterans’ organizations and am active with the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Our company also enjoys donating time and money to Massachusetts Veterans here in Worcester. After I left the Army, I felt it was important to continue to make a positive impact on those around me. I enjoy seeing the time and effort that I put in really make a difference in the lives of those I’m trying to help.
Biggest professional success:
My biggest success would definitely be helping found and develop MSB Consulting. It has been a valuable learning experience and very challenging having to juggle not only the relationships I have with my clients, but the business strategies we’ve developed and executed for ourselves and others. We started this business with no venture capital funding or loans, so to come from that to where we are today has been very fulfilling.
Dream job:
My ultimate dream job is to be the CEO of a large company with a true international presence. I would like to do some work in parts of the Middle East and Asia.
If you weren’t doing the job you’re doing now, what would you do?
I would probably be working for a large government consulting company. I’d like to do some international work overseas at some point.
Favorite movie:
“Saving Private Ryan.”
If you were stuck on a desert island, what book would you want to have with you?
“Sailing for Dummies.” If I’m anything, I’m practical.
