The $1.5-million renovation of former Ashland warehouse into a learning facility for adults with disabilities is complete, according to the commercial real estate firm that handled the construction.
Framingham-based Parsons Commercial Group said the 22,605-square-foot facility at 290 Eliot St. features activity rooms, an outdoor patio and garden area, a training kitchen, retail training center, laundry room, mailroom and fitness center.
The location is the home of Framingham-based Advocates Inc.’s Life Skills and Learning Center, which offers opportunities for adults with disabilities to gain experiences and skills that will help them have active, productive lives in the community, according to the organization’s website. Among topics that participants learn about are volunteering; health and wellness; technology; relationship; creative arts; and independent living.
