Using LinkedIn

1. Strictly Business
Remember, this is business and others in the group feel the same. This is not a dating site.
2. Regular Check-ups
Check your Linkedin page daily. Maybe just for 10 minutes each day. Participate. Joining means nothing if you are not a participant.
3. Be Specific
Include lots of background information on yourself when filling out your profile. It increases your chances of connecting with someone.
4. Get Involved
Answer posted questions. Share your expertise. It increases your visibility.
5. Watch The Pitch
Do not post veiled “sales pitches” as questions. You lose all your credibility this way.
6. Mug For The Camera
Include a photo and change it regularly. Curiosity attracts visitors to your page.
7. Attitude Is Key
Approach the site with a “how can I help you” attitude. Not a “what’s in it for me” attitude.
8. Honesty Is The Best Policy
Never lie or exaggerate your background or qualifications. With more than 12 million members, you are sure to be exposed.
9. Widen Your Horizons
Look at your participation as a GLOBAL business opportunity, not local.
10. Don’t Delay
Respond promptly to those that replied to your questions.
