Located in Sutton, Massachusetts, Package Steel Systems, Inc. has been a leading manufacturer of Pre-Engineered metal buildings in the Northeast since 1956. Within its 80,000 square foot, IAS certified facility, skilled employees create their metal buildings and components, utilizing progressive design and manufacturing technologies.

 

To what do you attribute your longevity in the industry?

During the last five-plus decades Package Steel Systems have become the #1 provider of high quality steel buildings in the Northeast. We are very proud to offer the Package Steel Building System exclusively through our builder network. The main reason we have been around for so long is pretty simple… every Package building is delivered complete with what’s required; there are never any surprises. What differentiates your company from your competitors?

Throughout our fifty-plus year history we have forged lasting relationships with our suppliers, employees, the community and, foremost, with our customers. What are the secrets to your success?

Package Steel has several advantages over the competition. For starters, we feature lower initial costs. Unlike conventional buildings, Package Steel Buildings are engineered and manufactured prior to their construction. This guarantees the most efficient erection process possible, which can lead to a savings of up to 30 percent over other construction methods. Additionally, our buildings offer the customer greater flexibility when it comes to design. Today’s Pre-Engineered-Steel Buildings go far beyond traditional “box” type steel buildings with metal panels. Architectural designs for steel buildings can incorporate glass, masonry, concrete and many other types of exteriors.

Furthermore, Package Steel guarantees faster occupancy. When it comes to construction, Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings are the fastest, strongest and most efficient way to erect a building or an addition. What role does your location play in your success?

We are located in the Northeast and our buildings are designed specifically for weather conditions in the Northeast. From Northern Maine to Southern Pennsylvania, our steel buildings will outlast any longevity expectations you have. For example, ground snow can exert tremendous force against the base of your wall; therefore, we provide a Snow Girt™ at a nominal 3 feet above the finished floor to help prevent the snow from doing any damage. Our buildings are engineered to weather the storm, even under the harshest conditions of the Northeast. 

All buildings look great when they are first constructed, but the true test of quality is how they will weather the decades. At Package, our wall finishes carry a full 30-year warranty. Would you describe one of your most exciting projects?

We recently provided the building for “The New Garden Sports Center, the Worcester Ice Center, home of “The Railers,”our local hockey team. This facility, located at 104 Harding Street in Worcester, features insulated wall panels, a high-energy insulation system, four ice rinks, a restaurant, health club and various other businesses. Also, there is a 73,000 square foot rooftop and a 10,500 square foot mezzanine. 

 

What do you foresee for the future? 

Package Steel Systems, Inc. will continue the tradition of manufacturing high quality metal steel buildings, along with expanding our product line and bringing forth new technology in our manufacturing, engineering and processing.
