Since 1851, Clinton Savings Bank has been committed to meeting the banking needs of Central Massachusetts residents. Our employees are fellow members of the community who continuously go the extra mile to get to know our customers’ unique needs, and customize service accordingly.
Consumers and businesses put their trust in CSB as they know that they can have a true relationship experience with their banker as well as quick access to decision makers. Our employees are our customers’ neighbors and treat them as such. Commercial customers have a professional, dedicated and experienced Relationship Manager who works to provide effective answers and solutions to what their needs are, whether it’s business, personal, or both.
CSB offers a full-range of financial products and services from deposit accounts, CDs, access to a surcharge-free ATM network, several types of loans, personal and business credit cards, mobile banking, eServices, commercial lending and business Cash Management Services.
But talent and strategy that focus on customer satisfaction remain our predominant keys to success. “Our employees are at the heart of our organization and they strive each day to offer proactive, personalized service,” says President & CEO Robert J. Paulhus, Jr. “They work to foster strong connections and deepen relationships with our customers and find new ways to anticipate, meet and exceed customer needs, then continue to enhance and design products and services with those in mind.”
These efforts have resulted in numerous awards, including Bauer Financial’s Five Star Rating, Community Bank of Choice by the Item’s reader poll, United Way of Tri County - Extraordinary Leadership In The Financial Division, an award for Corporate Responsibility, Corridor 9 Chamber’s Champion of Education / School Business Partnership, top honors from the New England Financial Marketing Association (NEFMA) and the Agility Resource Group.
Our commitment to the community is CSB’s hallmark. Last year the Bank donated over $54,000 to regional organizations and provided scholarships to nine deserving high school students. In addition to its long history of partnering with local schools – CSB has two high school branches in Boylston and Bolton – we launched a very successful Financial Empowerment program, which helps improve financial literacy in students from elementary to high school, and currently serves over 420 students. We also partnered with Laurell Learning Services in Bolton and the Berlin Library to host “Teen Money Matters” events, during which CSB banking experts answer predetermined questions related to the importance of financial literacy. The Bank has also been the major sponsor for the last seven years at Nashoba High School’s Reality Fair, which provides real world financial management education. And, adding to the engagement of younger generations in our region and to cultivate smart savers early on, we introduced Scratch The Savings Cat, at many community events as our youth savings ambassador mascot.
CSB personnel are also dedicated to community and sit on numerous non-profit Boards, donate their time for and work with many organizations such as the ARC of Opportunity, United Way of Tri-County, Clinton Hospital, Nashoba Regional DECA program, little leagues, The Polus Center, senior centers, Boy and Girl Scout Troops, and countless town events and initiatives that help members of the community.
Keeping the relationships and convenience we offer to customers at the forefront of our mind, CSB also continues to manage costs and capitalize on opportunities in our market place. “We constantly look for ways to improve what and how we deliver to our community and that will always define our growth strategies,” says Paulhus.
“Our unwavering commitment to customer service, community involvement and value drive every decision we make and we strive to deliver on that promise to provide more than our customers expect and everything they deserve. It’s this dedication and care that makes an experience people can bank on at Clinton Savings Bank.”
