1. Develop community-based partnerships to deliver innovative and impactful client-focused solutions that address systemic problems.
2. Selectively expand services that will enhance client outcomes in a financially and operationally sustainable way.
3. Evaluate the critical non-clinical factors that are creating the largest health and employment failures.
4. Create and deliver a service model that addresses these key factors in collaboration with healthcare providers, other funders, and employers.
5. Complete operational integration of senior residential facilities.
6. Fully develop existing infrastructure and human capital to allow for continued scalability.
Individuals or corporations interested in making a donation or exploring gifts of stock, monthly giving, planned giving, sponsorship opportunities or employee matching gift programs are invited to contact our development department at 508-330-1238. Donations are gratefully accepted year-round at ascentria.org.
Other opportunities include choosing Ascentria as your nonprofit of choice through Amazon Smile so that a portion of your qualifying purchases is donated to our organization. Frequently, we also run Amazon Wish List campaigns to purchase household items for our young parents and youth aging out of our programs and moving into their own apartments.
A unique way to give is to donate your old or unused vehicle to our Good News Garage program where it will be refurbished and awarded to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation, which helps empower them to move out of poverty and into financial independence and social stability.
Ascentria volunteers find their work to be impactful, interesting and rewarding. Volunteers collaborate with us in many productive and creative ways to enhance organizational capacity, empower our clients and strengthen our Massachusetts communities. Tutoring, mentoring new Americans or providing professional services are a few examples of how Ascentria volunteers effect real and lasting change in others.
Volunteer opportunities exist for individuals, students seeking internships and groups such as corporations, faith communities and special interest groups.

Many of our donors generously give throughout the year when a particular appeal for support resonates with them while others decide to give monthly. Our annual giving opportunities include Giving Tuesday, which is generally the first Tuesday in December or the last Tuesday of November and our Annual Year End Appeal that begins in November and extends to January. We welcome donations from individuals, groups and corporations.
In 2022 Ascentria will be celebrating our 150th year of providing a diverse offering of social services to support teen parents, unaccompanied minors, low-income families in need of transportation, immigrants and refugees, seniors, people with cognitive disabilities and those who are managing mental health challenges. This celebration will include special events and special appeals to support current and new, innovative initiatives.
Throughout the pandemic, we have stayed focused on our mission and the clients that we serve. Our ability to do that during an incredibly challenging period was primarily due to the resiliency of our staff. They have endured unprecedented health risks, challenges within their own families, extended work hours due to labor shortages, while continuing to endure systemic wage inequity. We are more committed than ever to work with our partners and funders to advocate for more equitable pay and look for innovative solutions to remove employment barriers and encourage broader career participation in the human services sector.
