A new company, Allied Resin Technologies (Artech), has teamed up with Leominster's First Plastics Corp. to bring rotational manufacturing of large plastic goods and up to 50 new jobs to the city.

Leominster-based HealthAlliance Hospital and the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) said they have reached a tentative three-year contract agreement that limits patient assignments and increases nurse staffing while boosting pay, according to the MNA.

Nurses at HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster on Wednesday voted “overwhelmingly” to authorize a one-day strike, according to a statement from the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA), the union representing the nurses.
