Acton company Lyla Beauty Bar was granted a $50,000 loan from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. to support the purchase of new laser system equipment, the small business financing organization announced Monday.

Fitchburg transportation company R.A. Aldrich Trucking received a $44,000 loan from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. to assist with the purchase of a new semi-truck.

The violations concern renovation work at one Fitchburg multi-family residence and four Lowell apartments, all of which were marketed to college students, according to the Massachusetts attorney general.
