Though it won't make its bread and butter delivering statistics on mobile device adoption, Westborough's Chitika Inc., an Internet advertising company, is hoping to boost brand awareness among consumers through its burgeoning insights division.
Launched in 2010, Chitika Insights is the company's independent analysis arm. The division initially focused on web search traffic trends, but in 2012, began to migrate to the mobile device sphere, said Andrew Waber, marketing analyst at Chitika.
Chitika doesn't charge for reports it issues based on these queries, but the years of work the 11-year-old company has put into collecting usage data is beginning to pay dividends. Top news outlets, like the Washington Post, Bloomberg News, and the Wall Street Journal, have cited Chitika's statistics in recent reports on mobile device adoption, with Apple's iPhone 6 being the latest example.
The Porter and Chester Institute trade school will move its 40 employees and 225 students from two Westborough sites into a new Worcester location beginning in October, according to the organization.

The Journal said EMC held on-again, off-again discussions with officials from Hewlett-Packard and, while those talks appear to be off now, it's not clear whether they will begin again. As for Dell, the WSJ cited people familiar with talks between the two firms, adding that it's not clear what the status of those talks are.
Westborough-based healthcare IT company eClinicalWorks will provide electronic medical records management to the New Jersey Physicians Accountable Care Organization (ACO), a group of more than 37 primary care practices, the company said.
eClinical said its trademarked Care Coordination Medical Record will allow the ACO to administer itself more efficiently through quality metrics and analytics. That's crucial to the ACO model, which coordinates care between patients and health care providers with the goal of reducing costs and improving quality of care.
Braintree-based commercial real estate firm Campanelli has purchased the office building at 300 Friberg Pkwy. in Westborough, marking another acquisition of a highly-visible office building in town this year.
Campanelli bought the three-story, 78,455-square-foot building in June and is planning a “significant capital improvement campaign,” according to its leasing agent, Transwestern | RBJ of Boston. The project includes upgrading the building's lobby and common areas, amenities, façade and landscaping, according to Transwestern.
