Once a production desert, Central Massachusetts has seen a large increase in Hollywood-related activity in the past 15 years. Then, the strikes came.

An industrial flex building in Holliston has been sold for $3.15 million to Quilling Card, a Framingham-based producer of greeting cards.

The amount of employees that will be impacted by the cuts was not disclosed.

The U.S. Department of Energy credits, combined with the other federal and private funds, will assist the company to begin production at the facility faster, said Jason Mortimer, Electric Hydrogen’s senior vice president of global sales.

The joint venture will own and operate two planned EV battery recycling plants, with one in Poland and the other in Germany.

In this role, David will help the company receive sustainability certifications for a number of Consigli projects.

Ameresco has entered into a $140-million contract to build a biogas cogeneration facility for the Sacramento Area Sewer District located at the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility near Elk Grove, California.

As the Massachusetts cannabis industry battles declining cannabis prices, lawsuits, and a number of other growing pains, a new business association has emerged.

In January, more businesses were incorporated in Central Massachusetts than in any other month since at least January 2017, outpacing the state as a whole, which also set a record for new business starts.
