Acton medical device manufacturer Insulet has hired Ana Maria Chadwick as its new CFO. She will be the highest-ranked female executive at Insulet, which for three years was the only public company in Central Massachusetts with a woman as CEO.

The Massachusetts unemployment rate in February fell for the second month in a row, after a slight uptick to end 2023.

The Town of Westborough has purchased the 65,765-square-foot building for $8.8 million.

The price of single-family homes in Central Massachusetts continues to climb, as median sales prices increased again in Worcester and Middlesex Counties during February. This is largely a continuation of trends seen in January and during the whole of 2023. 

A new coffee shop will open in downtown Gardner later this year, as husband and wife duo, Alexis and Osiris Vallejos, are planning their third Brilla Coffee location at 25 Main St., better known as the Bullnose Building with its two lion statues.

Local unemployment rates throughout Central Massachusetts climbed to begin 2024, although the January figures are still lower than the rate seen at that time last year.
