Phosphorex, a Hopkinton-based drug delivery-focused contract development and manufacturing company, has named a new CEO following a growth capital investment. 

Two bioscience companies, including one based in Hopkinton, have formed a scientific advisory board to provide insight in development and manufacturing of advanced therapies. 

Led by Worcester manufacturing tech firm Solvus Global, 19 Central Massachusetts firms made the 2022 Inc. 5000, a national list of the fastest growing companies from the New York City magazine.

Wakefield-based Agilitas Energy has acquired a construction-ready, solar photovoltaic and energy storage program in Hopkinton, while completing a separate project in Auburn.

Katherine Scalora and Lora Markova have brought a somewhat unique concept in exercise to Hudson: aerial yoga, where patrons dangle from silks.

Central Mass. has been known for its historic mill buildings, classic three-decker houses, and local architectural icons like Union Station. But today, there’s room for new, contemporary designs in the region, as well as homages to what’s already there.

Three businesses in Central Massachusetts have been approved for economic incentive development programs by the state’s Economic Assistance Coordinating Council, and two additional Worcester County towns have been approved for the council’s vacant storefront program.

The Town of Hopkinton said it has maintained its AAA bond rating from S&P Global Ratings. 

VMware, once a subsidiary of Hopkinton-based Dell EMC, will be acquired by microchip maker Broadcom for $61 billion.

United Solutions, a construction software reseller based in Hopkinton, was acquired by Ohio-based Aktion Associates, Inc., according to a May 1 press release from Aktion.
