Framingham Union Hospital's parent company has said it will consider the public’s request to operate at least a NICU with reduced services.

John Whitlock, CEO of MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, has resigned, putting an end to the tenure of the hospital’s sixth leader since 2017.  

Framingham Union has until May 9 to prepare a plan explaining how the hospital’s special care nursery services will be maintained for the residents of its service area.

Developers behind a proposed 89-unit apartment building in Framingham adjacent to the city’s Commuter Rail station, first proposed in 2023, presented the latest version of their plans.
