Energy bills soared for many Bay Staters this winter, exacerbating chronic cost-of-living pressures for Massachusetts residents and businesses that already pay some of the highest energy prices in the country.

The president and CEO of the Worcester-based Better Business Bureau of Central New England has stepped down from his position after just one year on the job.

Safe Exit Initiative, a Worcester nonprofit supporting those involved in the sex trade, has expanded its reach into the Mid-Atlantic, launching a harm reduction and outreach program in Baltimore. 

Bella Pizzeria, which has an existing location in Milford, will serve items including pizza, burgers, and esfihas, which are small pies containing either savory or sweet fillings.

John Whitlock, CEO of MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, has resigned, putting an end to the tenure of the hospital’s sixth leader since 2017.  

The transaction also saw DPC purchase a majority stake of Greenwood-affiliated general contractor TWC Phoenix in Boston.

The operator of a Boston Market location in Worcester has vowed to reopen the store under a new concept after an auction where he successfully bid for much of the seized equipment.

The Massachusetts economy is expected to grow at minimal rates in the second and third quarters of this year, according to local economists, who released data Monday showing the state economy contracted at a greater rate than the U.S. economy during the first quarter.

The site had used by the Mercy Centre until it moved its operations to West Boylston earlier this year.

Camargo made the announcement in an Instagram post on Friday, where she hinted at a new career opportunity but did not provide a specific reason for her resignation.
