A researcher at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester has been awarded $2.6 million from the National Institutes of Health to develop a therapeutic treatment to address radiation resistance in triple-negative breast cancer.

Worcester-based software company Valis Insights received a $20,000 grant from a Michigan-based foundation seeking to assist female-owned businesses in making a social impact. 

Two Eastern Massachusetts real estate firms have snatched up seven Worcester properties.

A proposed order filed in the Steward Health Care bankruptcy case outlines a "commitment" from state government in Massachusetts to provide $30 million to support Steward hospitals "as they are transitioned to new operators in the near-term."
