Following Easter Sunday, marijuana enthusiasts across the state are gearing up for another widely celebrated, but far less formal, holiday – the marking of April 20, or 4/20.

Spectrum Internet, a communications technology provider affiliated with Charter Communications, Inc., has doubled the starting download speed of its internet service from 100 to 200 Mbps throughout its Central Mass. locations, according to a Tuesday press release.

Becker College, which announced its closure in March, has sold the majority of its Worcester campus to local developer Russ Haims, returning more than $15 million in assessed property value to Worcester's tax rolls.

After the Town of Leicester officially purchases the portion of the former Becker College campus that exists within its borders, Becker will use the proceeds from that sale to pay debts.

Becker College’s Worcester campus so blends into its neighborhood west of downtown someone could pass through and, if it weren’t for the blue Becker banners on a few dozen buildings, barely notice it’s a campus at all.
