The Town of Douglas received $3 million on Thursday for two nearly $150-million warehouse development projects spanning three towns, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development.

Eleven Central Massachusetts communities are receiving a portion of the 2.1-million at-home COVID tests set to be distributed by the Gov. Charlie Baker administration, per a Monday announcement.

Caroline’s Cannabis in Uxbridge, the first woman-owned small business cannabis shop to open in Massachusetts, received final licensure from the state Cannabis Control Commission on Sept. 17 to move forward with plans to open a second adult-use location in Hopedale.

On Thursday, Boston nonprofit American Student Assistance awarded a $450,000 grant to the Blackstone Valley Superintendents' Consortium to increase workforce training opportunities for high school students, particularly those from underserved populations. 

A series of rental properties in Douglas, Northbridge and Uxbridge have sold for $2.8 million to the executive of a tech company growing its office space in Marlborough, according to the Worcester Registry of Deeds.

Illinois medical supply manufacturer and distributor Medline Industries, Inc. plans to build what it says will be the largest solar project in Massachusetts, on top of its Uxbridge distribution facility, the company announced on Tuesday.
