Charter opens new Worcester retail location

Charter Communications has opened a new retail store that the internet and television provider says will offer better services to its customers while consolidating two retail locations into one.

APRIL A. PERRY was promoted to assistant vice president/consumer loan underwriting manager for Workers' Credit Union in Fitchburg. A 33-year veteran of the union, Perry most recently served as its consumer loan underwriting manager. Over the years, she helped lead the launch of loan software systems and also serves on the operations/technology steering committee. She lives in Leominster and has volunteered at Our Father's Table and at St. Joseph's Church, both in Fitchburg.

Wyman-Gordon faces $145K in OSHA fines

Wyman-Gordan has been cited for three repeat and 10 serious violations of workplace safety standards at the aerospace parts manufacturer's North Grafton plant, according to the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
