After 46 years of owning and operating the restaurant, Edward Whiterell has decided to retire.

After years of complaints regarding the smell emanating from its Grafton facility, food recycling firm Feedback Earth has sold the property for $4.04 million amid a move out of Massachusetts.

In 2024, the member organizations of WFCC and its 270 medical volunteers delivered free medical care to 6,500 patients.

Built in 1805, the property houses a 100-seat restaurant located on the first floor.

McGovern, appearing alongside Congresswoman Lori Trahan and graduates of the Devens center, spoke outside the facility one day after a federal judge extended a temporary restraining order blocking the closures for another week. 

A federal judge had ordered the Trump Administration to stop its attempts to shutter Job Corps centers across the country, including in Grafton and Devens. 

“These are people's lives they're playing with, and it's horrible,” Hebert said of the Trump Administration’s decision to unilaterally shutter all contract-run Job Centers across the country.

Supporters of the centers say closing them will undermine workforce readiness and leave nearly 500 residential students at the sites without a clear future.
