    Accessible and affordable housing.

Keyword here is AFFORDABLE. Very little housing options in Worcester are affordable. The problem with the new apartments coming in is their prices include the extra amenities that you cannot opt out of if you don't plan to use them (tiny gym facilities that never work, a recreational community room, pools, etc.) Those should be additional costs for the tenants who want them, similar to costs that some apartments request including pets and parking.

Worcester needs all types of housing. First Worcester needs to scrap the density and parking restrictions. If a developer wants to put up a mid rise apartment building, let them. If a builder doesn't want to have parking or only one parking space per unit, leave it up to the builder. Let the builders decide what they feel there is market demand for, and let them assume the risk.

What the region needs more than anything else is a dramatic increase in new elderly / disabled housing units!
