In the wake of the 2020 murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer, businesses in Central Massachusetts and across the globe made pledges to better their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. In the years since, some organizations have fulfilled their promises, others deprioritized them, and some abandoned efforts altogether.
