The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on an economy that slipped into a recession in early 2020, as a huge number of businesses have laid off staff, seen revenues drop, or closed altogether. Since March, the state and federal governments have offered various levels of support and relief to businesses through grants, tax breaks, and -- most notably -- the $2-trillion dollar CARES Act, which included the Paycheck Protection Program to directly help small businesses. Another $900-billion federal relief bill has been approved, and the Baker Administration has created a separate $668-million small business grant program.

I think time limitations on regular business operating hours should be lifted. Too many rush for services which create volume of patrons that are put at risk. Normal hours of operations should be put back in place. Risk factors will go down. Tax revenue suffers as result of restrictions. Corporations will pull out if to much burden put on them and residents will only accept so much.
