The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, based in Worcester, announced its founding president and CEO, Jan Yost, will retire this spring and be replaced by the current vice president for programs, Amie Shei.

UMass Chan professor receives second $300K for childhood cancer research

Jason Shohet, a professor at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, has received a second grant for cancer research totaling $300,000, two years after the first grant, according to a Monday announcement on the school’s website.

GWCF granted $2M to local organizations in 2021

The Greater Worcester Community Foundation announced Tuesday it has distributed 110 community grants to Central Massachusetts organizations in 2021, totaling $1.9 million, according to a press release from the nonprofit.
