The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts, based in Worcester, announced its founding president and CEO, Jan Yost, will retire this spring and be replaced by the current vice president for programs, Amie Shei.

MassDevelopment has issued a $6 million tax-exempt bond on behalf of Lancaster nonprofit Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, Inc., a portion of which will be used to replace artificial turf on five soccer fields in the town, as well as repair roads and pathways. 

Jason Shohet, a professor at UMass Chan Medical School in Worcester, has received a second grant for cancer research totaling $300,000, two years after the first grant, according to a Monday announcement on the school’s website.
