Four Worcester individuals have been indicted for their alleged involvement in a local personal care attendant and home health Medicaid fraud scheme, according to a Monday announcement from the Office of Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. 

In January, more businesses were incorporated in Central Massachusetts than in any other month since at least January 2017, outpacing the state as a whole, which also set a record for new business starts.

Grafton State Hospital operated as a mental health facility from 1901 to 1973, when it was shuttered as part of the state’s deinstitutionalization efforts.

Acton medical device manufacturer Insulet has hired Ana Maria Chadwick as its new CFO. She will be the highest-ranked female executive at Insulet, which for three years was the only public company in Central Massachusetts with a woman as CEO.

“Matt has been an instrumental part of AffyImmune’s growth in the past two years,” said Simone Song, chairperson of the board of directors for AffyImmune.

Baxter purchased Hillrom, the Illinois-based previous operator of the Acton facility, for $10.5 billion in February 2022. At the time, Baxter said the move would help reach a broader global market.

Nolfo-Clements has authored a number of scholarly papers about local wildlife, including papers about the squirrel population in the Boston Public Garden and the mammal population on Bumpkin Island in Boston Harbor.

The primary use of the funds will be used to fund Boston Scientific’s purchase of Axonics, Inc., a $3.7-billion transaction the company announced in January.
