Jessica Rubinow, 39
Senior manager Ernst & Young (EY)
Worcester
Residence: Boylston
Birthplace: Worcester
College: Worcester State University
Among her growing duties at EY, Rubinow oversees a $12-million global tax redesign project for a multibillion-dollar chemical conglomerate. It’s certainly noteworthy for Rubinow, but not such a stand-out resume line considering all else she does. She led a tax-department redesign for a $5-billion consumer packaging company and a tax provision software implementation for a large retailer. Her promotion in August to senior manager now expands her responsibilities to include driving business development and meeting/exceeding revenue goals. She has volunteered as the registrar and board member for the past four years for the Boylston Youth Soccer Association, treasurer and board member for the Boylston Education Foundation, and board member and under-11 girls youth lacrosse coach for the Guardians Youth Lacrosse traveling program. Rubinow has been appointed to Boylston’s resident advisory committee to provide oversight to the town’s Board of Selectmen, and serves on the board for the Swing For Wishes golf tournament, which has raised more than $1 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation now in its 20th year. To get lacrosse programs started at Tahanto Regional Middle/High School, Rubinow helped raise $25,000. – Profile written by Grant Welker
What is the one meal you could eat for the rest of your life? Pizza. The variations are endless.
What do you want your job title to be when you retire? Professionally? Partner, it’s the highest you can go within the firm. Personally? Coach Rubinow. I hope to still be coaching girls lacrosse by then!
