On Wednesday, UMass Chan announced the creation of the university’s Health AI Assurance Laboratory: a lab designed to evaluate processes and impacts of health AI technology to advance efforts for more accountable, unbiased, and efficacious patient care.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced the establishment of the country’s first PhD program in financial technology (fintech). With the university already offering both bachelor's and master’s programs in the field, this newest degree means WPI is the first institute in the nation to offer all three degree options. 

The study compared Massachusetts to its bordering states and "peer" states like California, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Clark University in Worcester is launching a new masters of fine arts program in visual arts that will provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their work at one of the state’s most prominent museums. 

The grants are part of the Training Resources And Internships Network, which is designed to address the skills development needs of long-term unemployed, underemployed, and new entrant adults in the state.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute has received $18.6 million in donations in the last two months, the university announced as part of the inauguration ceremony of Grace Wang, who took over as its 17th president in April.
